Solara Solux Luminaire is a high intensity double ended horticultural lighting system. It combines a double ended closed reflector, made of Vega & Alanod MIRO aluminum, with a power variation ballast and a high pressure sodium bulb.
This powerful and versatile commercial grade system allows users to select the most appropriate light intensity for their particular configuration.
Its reflector is made with a European glossy aluminum enamel, with a 95% reflection, providing a downward focused emission that maximizes the intensity of the light.
Functions and Features:
Dimmer / Potentiometer.- This unit can regulate the intensity from 600 to 1150 W by simply adjusting the dial found on the ballast itself. Likewise, it can be connected to the Solux Master Controller to control up to 160 luminaires through the equipment’s RJ port.
Smart Step Technology.- By turning the dial on the digital ballast you can reduce the output of a lamp when not as much power is needed. Just turn the dial again to rewind to full power
Super Lumen.- The Super Lumen feature on the Solara1000 unit will increase the output of the higher wattage lamp from the ballast to achieve maximum lamp performance. The increase is approximately 10%.
Smart start.- This revolutionary feature, exclusive to our products, makes the GC series digital ballast the safest and most reliable ballast when used in automated multi-lamp applications. When multiple units are connected to the same power circuit, our integrated ignition control software will fully balance electrical consumption by lighting one lamp at a time to avoid power surges and spikes that can overload the power circuit and circuit breaker systems. For greater efficiency, this feature is activated in conjunction with our “Soft Start Technology”.
Soft Start Technology.- Soft Start technology prolongs the useful life of the lamp by preventing the lamp from overloading. When the ballast starts, there will be a fixed 3 second delay before ignition. After ignition there will be a series of random 0-2 second delays before full brightness is reached after approximately 3-5 minutes. SoftStart technology is also activated by increasing and decreasing the power of the lamp using the ‘Smart-Step’ function.
