Amblyseius swirskii es un ácaro depredador, perteneciente a la familia de los Fitoseidos, que se alimenta de huevos y larvas de mosca blanca (Bemisia tabaci y Trialeurodes vaporariorum), larvas de trips y, en menor medida, de araña roja y araña blanca.
DOSIS
En función de la problemática de plagas y el cultivo la dosis (preventiva, curativa baja o curativa alta) a usar puede variar entre 50 y 150 ind/m2.
CULTIVOS
A. swirskii se utiliza en diversas hortícolas, ornamentales y frutales. En tomate no puede sobrevivir.
APLICACIÓN
Antes de abrir el bote dentro del cultivo, colocarlo en posición horizontal y rotar su contenido para que sea homogéneo. Se debe esparcir directamente sobre las hojas en pequeños montoncitos.
En el caso en el que el formato elegido sea sobres, se colgarán directamente en la planta a media altura.
CONSERVACIÓN
Conservar el bote o caja en posición horizontal a temperatura de 15-18 ºC y no romper la cadena de frío en todo el proceso de transporte y almacenamiento. Almacenar un máximo de 48 horas tras su recepción, no exponer a la luz solar y mantener alejado de residuos pesticidas.
Se debe evitar su almacenamiento combinado con colmenas de abejorros en estancias cerradas y sin ventilación.

Amblyseius swirskii is a predatory mite, belonging to the Phytoseidae family, that feeds on whitefly eggs and larvae (Bemisia tabaci and Trialeurodes vaporariorum), thrips larvae and, to a lesser extent, red and white spider mites.
